Access Kit Section
You can see a complete real life tutorial of how to distribute credentials with Access kit.
This feature works only if the ” Manage Access Kit ” Add-on is enabled for the current company.
The Access Kit is a functionality within MyCena Desk Center designed to encapsulate specific sets of credentials tailored to the methods of operation and the unique requirements of the company’s business processes. It is particularly utilized in scenarios such as large-scale operations or the efficient distribution of passwords to a substantial number of agents.
2.4.1 Step 1: Create Access kit
2.4.1.1 Import url/system from Excel file
- In this section, the console manager can download an Excel file which is a template of a list of “url/system” that he fills in order to reimport it later.

Note: Each name of access is a unique identifier for a url/system inside a password class, inside a division, inside an operation
- First step: The console manager clicks on “Download template” button, “Url-System-Template .xlsx” file will be downloaded.

Second step: The console manager fills the fields with url/system information that he wants to add, fields are:
- “Name of access”: It is a string and required field which is the identifier of the url/system.
- “Operation”: It is a string required field which will be related to name of operation that the company is working on and it will contain divisions and password classes.
- “Division”: It is a string and required field which will be related to the division or the subset in which belong the users that the passwords will be distributed.
- “Password class”: In this string and required field, the console manager can choose or create a new password class which contains a set of rules or a Custom criteria.
- “Name of Url, system”: In this string and required field, the console manager can enter the name which informs about the “Url,system”.
- “Url, System”: In this string and required field, the console manager can enter the concrete URL or link which will be the equivalent of “website url” field in the access kit interface in the application.
- “Program”: In this string and not required field, the console manager can enter a description of the program of which this combination of operation/division belongs.
- “See Password (y/n)”: In this field the console manager can specify if the application user can see the password field or not for the password distributions that belong to this “Url,system”.
- “Copy password (y/n)”: In this field the console manager can specify if the application user can copy the password field or not for the password distributions that belong to this “Url,system”.
- “Level (Bronze, Silver, Gold)”: In this field the console manager can specify in what security level the password distributions which belong to this “Url,System” will be stored.
- “Folder”: In this field the console manager can choose or create a new folder which can the the password distributions which belong to this “Url,System” in the list be classified with.
- “Criteria”: The criteria column is used to generate passwords using custom criteria.
- Example: 1N;2U;5L;”/”;2S
- N represents Numbers, U represents Uppercase letters, L represents Lowercase characters, S represents Special characters, when you have a word inside “”, it represents the exact written word.
- The example above can be read as 1 Number, then 2 Uppercase letters, then 5 Lowercase characters, then the exact character / and 2 Special characters.
- “Characters”: If the criteria field is not chosen, the console admin can set rules for generating passwords, passwords will be composed by a number of characters which will be configured in this field.
- “Include lowercase letters”: The console manager can enter the number of lowercase letters that he wants the created password will be composed of.
- “Include uppercase letters”: The console manager can enter the number of uppercase letters that he wants the created password will be composed of.
- “Include numbers”: The console manager can enter the number of numbers that he wants the created password will be composed of.
- “Include special characters”: The console manager can enter the number of special characters that he wants the created password will be composed of.
2.4.1.2 Add single url/system

In the Access kit section, the console manager can click “Add Url, system”.

A pop-in window shows up. The console admin can fill the form and click “Save”.
- Now the console admin has successfully prepared the list of url/system the employees need to access.
2.4.2 Step 2: Upload and match employees’ login for each url/system

The console admin clicks on “Generate user access template” under 2-Upload users.

A pop-in window shows up, the console admin can select an operation, select a division, type a number of users he wants passwords be distributed to and click on generate.

“2-Users-template.xlsx” file is downloaded to the computer wherein the console admin can fill the template for each user, with the login for each url, system and their MyCena username or email.

The console admin clicks on “Upload template” (2-Users-template.xlsx) so that he has successfully uploaded the list of users who will receive the distributed passwords in the Password distribution table.

Note: The “Distributed” column shows X because passwords have not yet been distributed.
2.4.3 Step 3: Generate and distribute passwords

The console admin clicks “Generate users template” under 3-Upload passwords.

A pop-in window shows up wherein the console admin selects an operation, division, password class, and a list of users or a number of users.

If he chooses list of users, the console admin can download a template in which he enters the usernames or email addresses of the users who will receive generated passwords and uploads it.

If the console admin chooses number of users, this will generate the number of users to fill per Url,System per password class.

“3-User-passwords-template.xlsx” file is downloaded to computer, the passwords are generated and ready to be distributed.

The console admin clicks “Upload template” under “3. Upload passwords”.

A table will be displayed if the console admin has successfully uploaded the list of users who will receive the distributed passwords, and then he clicks on “Confirm” to distribute the generated passwords to that list of MyCena users.

Now, the console admin has successfully distributed the generated passwords to the list of MyCena users.

Note: The “Distributed” column shows when passwords have been distributed.
